Day 1: Negobo - Anuradhapura ( Explore Ancient Irrigartion and Countryside ) ( L , D )

Approximate cycling distance 70 Km–80 Km.

You will meet Bike Tours in Sri Lanka cycling guide at your hotel (7 a.m.).
After the briefing, proceed to Maho by vehicle (3 hrs drive)
Start the cycling to Anuradhapura along the countryside (78 Km)
Evening relaxes at the hotel.

You will meet Bike Tours in Sri Lanka cycling crew at your hotel (7 a.m.) or Airport. After the briefing about the cycling tour, you will proceed to Maho by vehicle. It is 2–3 hrs drive from Negombo and you will start the Anuradhapura cycling tour in Maho. It is approximate distance 70 Km–80 Km in mixed terrain but you will cycle mostly in flat terrain. You will explore the ancient irrigation system and reflecting with paddy cultivation. While you are cycling over the water tanks, you will explore beautiful sceneries in countryside and nature.

En route, you will take the Sri Lankan lunch at a restaurant and you will reach to Anuradhapura in the evening. You might explore the beautiful sunset over the water tanks while you are cycling in to Anuradhapura. You will relax at the hotel in the evening.

Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura is the 1^st kingdom and King Pandukhabaya was the first king of the Anuradhapura kingdom in 377 BC. Anuradhapura kingdom was the longest period ruled in Sri Lanka and 1^st kingdom remain until 1017 A.D. there were 126 kings ruled Anuradhapura kingdom over 1500 years.

Anuradhapura situated in North central province of Sri Lanka and key income source agriculture.

Because of Kalinga Magha, south Indian invasion Anuradhapura kingdom shift to Polonnaruwa as 2^nd kingdom of Sri Lanka.

Day 2 :Explpre Anurahapura Heritage and Safari In Wilpattu National Park ( B , L )

Approximate cycling distance 35 Km.

After the Breakfast cycling in Anuradhapura UNESCSO historical site.
Visit iconic historical places.
Sri Lankan lunch at restaurant
After the lunch, proceed to Wilpattu National Park for evening safari.
2 days Sri Lanka cycling Tour will be ended after the safari.
Dinner and overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

After breakfast at 8 a.m. you will cycle to Anuradhapura historical UNESCO site with a local guide. You will cycle in Anuradhapura ruin city until 12.30 p.m. and you will visit only iconic places only. Anuradhapura is the widely spread historical city in Sri Lanka and if you are looking to cover entire site, then at least you need to spend days in UNESCO site.

Hence, you will explore only iconic historical places only because of the time availability. You will experience the ancient masterpiece architecting skills and cultural difference between the other ancient kingdoms in Sri Lanka.

It is soft cycling tour and approximately cycling distance in Anuradhapura ruin historical site 20 Km–25 Km. Anuradhapura UNESCO site cycling tour will be ended at 12.30 p.m. and you will take the Sri Lankan lunch at a local restaurant.

After the lunch you can continue the cycling tour to Wilpattu national park and approximately distance 35 Km in flat terrain. If you are not comfortable to cycling in daytime, then you can proceed to Wilpattu national park by vehicle.

You will do 4 WD safari in Wilpattu national park with local nature guide. After the safari cycling tour will be ended and you will return to the hotel by vehicle.

Wilpattu National Park

Wilpattu national park situated 35 Km away from Anuradhapura city and it is the closet national park to Anuradhapura ruin city. Wilpattu means literally natural ponds land. Wilpattu national park bordering to North-West coast and it is an ideal place to migrating birds. Wilpattu national park is 2nd best national park spot Leopards and sloth bear in Sri Lanka.
