Adventure Cycling Holiday in Sri Lanka - 2 Days. is short cycling tour blends with multiple activities. Sri Lanka Adventure cycling tour is a hard level cycling tour in Sri Lanka and 70% cycling trail based in uphills but very scenic cycling tour. Day 01 you will cycle along the Kandy Tea planation to Kithulgala and you will experience thrilling, adventurous Rafting. You will send the night at camp under the millions of stars. Day 02 you will do abseiling along the waterfall and it is a thrilling activity in Kithulgala and after the activities you will continue the 2 days Adventure cycling tour to Adam’s peak–Hatton along the beautiful tea countryside.

Day 1 : Kandy Cycling Through Hanthana Tea Plantation To Kithulgala ( L , D)

Approximate cycling distance 40 Km - 45 Km and 4 - 5 hrs.
Gampola to Kithulgala distance of 38 Km and drive 1 – 2 hrs.

Meet the Bike Tours in Sri Lanka crew at your hotel.
After the briefing, proceed to Hanthana Ceylon Tea Museum.
Cycling through the Hathana Tea Plantation to Gampola.
En route visit to local Tea worker’s house.
After the Gampola - proceed to Kithulgala by vehicle.
White water rafting in Kithulgala.
Check into the campsite.
In the evening relax at the campsite or river swim.
BBQ dinner at River bank.
Overnight stay at Kubuk Sevena Eco lodge (camping or eco room)

Our official representative meets you at the Kandy hotel (8.00 a.m.) and proceed to Hanthana mysterious tea plantation. You will cycle along the Hanthana Tea planation to Gampola. Hanthana tea plantation is the most beautiful and romantic place in Kandy. En route, you will visit to local tea works house and experience the way of living, cultural differences and hospitality.

You will refresh with a traditional snack at tea workers’ house and continue the cycling tour to Gampola. It is mixed terrain and you will cycle approximately 40 km–45 km.

After the Gampola, you will proceed to Kithulgala by vehicle.

En route, you will take the Sri Lankan rice and curry lunch at a local restaurant.

You will report to Rafting point and experience the thrilling, adventurous rafting. It is 1–2 hrs rafting activity and you will check into the campsite.

In the evening you will relax at the campsite and you will enjoy the BBQ dinner under the millions of starts. It is romantic moment get isolated with partner and enjoy the dinner in the nature near the river bank.

Kithulgala

Kithulgala, blessed with Kelani river and inland water based adventure centre, is Kithulgala. The experience of White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, there are 7 rapids covering 3 major rapids and 4 minor rapids (Grade 2 -3 rapids). Every rapid gives you great fun… epic excitement…!

Day 2: Kithulgala Cycling To Adams peak ( B , L )

Total cycling distance approx. 45 - 50 Km

After the breakfast you will do waterfall abseiling.
After, the abseiling and check out from the hotel.
Cycling to Adam’s peak along the countryside (50 km).
Sri Lankan lunch at a local restaurant
Evening check into hotel and relax.
Late evening Hike the Adam’s peak and experience the sunrise.
Overnight stay in Hatton.

After the breakfast you will proceed to Hadun Ella waterfall and experience the abseiling. you will explore the beauty of the surroundings in180 degree view Kithulgala countryside. Abseiling is thrilling and adventurous activity in Kithulgala. You need to climb down 110 feet along with the waterfall.

After the abseiling you will visit to over 30,000 year ago ancient “homo sapiens” lived Beli Lena cave. It is a wonderful experience exploring a way of humankind began.

After the abseiling, you will report to Kithulgala campsite and refreshing with a local snack. you will checkout from the campsite and continue the adventure cycling tour in Sri Lanka.

You will cycle along the tea plantation and through the countryside in mixed terrain. approximately cycling distance 50 Km. cycling trail mostly in uphill terrain but you do not feel tiring because climate is not too warm.

Kithulgala to Nallathanniya elevation (300 meters to 1250 meters)

You will check into the hotel around 4 p.m. and you will relax at the hotel. You will do Adams Peak hike with a local tracker.

Experience the Sunrise: you will start the Adam’s peak hike around 2 a.m. and you will reach to peak around 5.30 a.m. and you will experience the sunrise. It is a phenomenal experience and most of the travelers interesting explore Sunrise and you will explore the stunning landscape.

You need to wear the winter cloth.

You will return to hotel next day around 8.30 a.m. and you will sleep/ relax until 11 a.m. and you will leave the hotel 12 p.m.

The Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) Season December-May

The Sri Pada (hiking the Adam’s peak) season begins with the rising of the full moon on uduvap poya day in December goes on for five months till Wesak full moon the next year. Thousands of devotees flock to the summit of the 2,234 meters high ‘Samonala Kanda’ (Mount Samonala) to worship the imprint of a foot on a huge granite rock. For the order generation, it is a dream fulfilled, while the young people make the journey mostly for the adventure of the overnight climb mingled with piety.

Buddhists call the mountain ‘Sri Pada’ (Sacred Footprint) and believe it to be the footprint of the Buddha, while Christians and Muslims claim it to be the footprint of Adam. Hence the name Adam’s peak. The place has therefore become sacred followers of all three faiths.

Sri pada is the fifth highest mountain in Sri Lanka, at the south-western corner of the central Hills. The word ‘Samonala Kanda’ connotes ‘Mountain of God Saman’, the guardian deity of the Sabaragamuwa Province, including Sri Pada.
